Justransform Data Transformation is the heart of any solution built within its platform. It's a process of pulling data from disparate systems and data formats and unite them into a common payload. In order to create and run successful data transformation processes, a firm grasp of the concepts of the overall integration requirements in required. This consists of the data and data elements from various systems, the mapping rules and the expected output. In addition, you must thoroughly understand your Data Transformation Suite  — which includes the Connection, Mapper, Map Chain and Business Process Modules.

The Data Transformation Suite is a 100% cloud interactive development environment (IDE) for specifying end-to-end transformation rule and logic between any two disparate data format independent of its complexity. With cloud first approach, the suite is designed to address any modern day challenges faced by organizations today. The Suite allows users to develop a complete map without requiring ANY additional tools or plugins.

The transformation rules can be a simple field-to-field mapping between two data structure (eg. XML-to-XML ) or can be highly complex where it can encapsulate split, merge, conditional looping, runtime validation use cases among others.

The information below provides information and instructions for how to use Data Transformation Suite and enable users to develop, validate, deploy and manage your transformations in 100% cloud environment accessible by anyone and from any where. The only tool needed is a modern web browser

Justransform breaks down the transformation creation process into six basic steps

  1. Create an Integration Design Document (IDD) between Source and Target System

    • Integration Design Document specifies the end-to-end data choreography across all connected systems interacting with within the scope of this solution.  The document can be produced by a single user or a collaborative between the team. You can use the following tools to achieve this task

      • Resource Library

        • Store and organize all your project related documents file upload into our collaborative folders

        • Share documents, folders with internal/external users

      • JTSheet

        • Our online collaborative spreadsheet enables you to create any customer facing professional looking documents including shapes and flow, right within our application

        • Visually design your data flow, exception handling and process integration without every leaving the application

        • Collaborate within or across organization

      • EDI Specification

        • Create professional customer facing EDI specification instantly from our application.

  2. Create a Mapping Specification between source and target data structures

    • This is one of the most important step in process as it solidifies your understanding and  expectation from the solution. This requires a knowledge of

      • Source Data Structure

      • Target Data Structure

      • Mapping Rules between the two

      • Process/Data Validation

      • Exception handling

    • You can use our JTSheet to define all of your mapping specifications

  3. Create Connections to all applications sending or receiving data within the scope of the solution

  4. Implement the Mapping Specification using our Mapper

    1. Define API based choreography (Optional) using our Map Chains

  5. Implement your Integration Design Document (IDD) using justransform Business Process IDE

  6. Associate the created Business Process with the respective Connection
